Reservation System - Through the world's most advanced reservation system, AMADEUS, we have more direct access to airlines, hotel chains and car rental companies than agencies relying on any other system.
Lowest fares - Guaranteed Fare Assurance is an automated fare-checking system that monitors changes right up to flight time to guarantee the lowest fare.
Waitlist Clearance - Waitlist Assurance monitors reservations cancelled anywhere in the world, and automatically confirms our waitlisted reservation. Hume Travel exceeds the industry standard for clearing waitlisted flights.
Preferred Seat Assignment - Seat Assurance monitors all seats that exist on any flight. Should your preference - for example, an aisle seat not be available, Seat Assurance will advise us when anyone cancels a booking for an aisle seat for your flight.
Charter flights/Net fares - Hume Travel employs dedicated agents to monitor and book all charter and net fare flights. By dedication we are able to provide superior service in this area.
International Rate Desk - If international travel calls for more than one stop in more than one country, these files are queued off to a sophisticated pricing desk. Most reservations come back with average savings of between 5 and 20%.
Hotel Programs - Hume Travel subscribes to 4 preferred corporate hotel programs, more than most agencies. We do this to secure not only the lowest rates at over 150,000 hotels worldwide, but to offer value added services such as complimentary amenities, upgrades and block space during sold out periods.
Car Rental Programs - Hume Travel offers some of the most competitive corporate and preferred rates with all major car rental companies.
Client Profiles - Hume Travel maintains a secure, computerized profile system, providing a vast array of personal information to suit corporate and individual needs, including seat selection, mileage numbers and hotel/car preferences.
Training Seminars - Hume Travel works with each corporate account and holds regular travel planner training seminars either at the account's office or at Hume Travel's office.
Ticket Delivery - Document delivery is provided in the Vancouver area. Some service fees apply when bookings are not made on-line. When bookings are made on-line - delivery by mail is free or we can arrange delivery for $10 per packet. Special arrangements can be made for document delivery anywhere in the world via Federal Express.
Refunds - Hume Travel processes refunds the same day they are received and refund slips or credit notes are issued within 24 hours of receipt of unused tickets.
Emergency Reservation Service - Hume Travel's 24 hour emergency service - Global Privilege - connects Hume Travel clients from all over the world. Any country that has AT&T calling abilities is part of the system - presently over 60 countries worldwide. This complimentary service provides immediate assistance with trip interruption and last-minute changes in airline, hotel or car bookings, for domestic and international travellers. It also offers an advanced luggage tracking system, electronic voice messaging worldwide, and a lost credit card registry.
